This path, which creates the direct connection from the industrial area to Arena Mattersburg and further into the center of town, was built for an impressive 150,000 euros. The path is now part of the national bike path R1, which is an important route for many cycling.

The construction of the bike path is part of a larger initiative that aims to gradually transform Burgenland into a flagship for cyclists by 2024. Mayor Christian Kurz emphasizes that over 550 employees are employed in the Pöttelsdorf business park and the new connection by bike is crucial to promote mobility beyond the car.

The project, whose construction began in June and was completed in September, ensures that cyclists can now drive side by side, which makes cycling more pleasant.
