New club location: Red Scorpions take off in Mattersburg

The ASKÖ dart club Red Scorpions recently moved into its new club premises, which is located in the former premises of the SJ home. This building, located at Michael Kochstrasse 46 in Mattersburg, was originally opened in the 1980s as a meeting place for young people, but has sat unused in recent years.

The darts club, which was previously based in Antau, showed interest in the property and began negotiations with the municipality to take over the premises. Thanks to the agreement, the club members were able to modernize and renovate the rooms on their own to create a welcoming environment for their meetings and games. The project is a significant step for the association's members, who can now meet in their own four walls.

Ceremonial opening

Several city representatives came to the ceremonial opening of the new club premises, including Deputy Mayor Thomas Nikles and Mayor Claudia Schlager. They congratulated not only the members, but also the club board, represented by Josef Wograndl and Manuel Knezevic, on this new step. The support of the municipality was crucial for the realization of this project, which is intended to promote the club life of the darters.

With this new facility, the Red Scorpions not only want to offer regular darts games and training, but also bring the community closer together. The club members are looking forward to numerous visits and the opportunity to live out their passion for darts in a suitable environment.
