An important financial injection for the water infrastructure in Burgenland: The Ministry of Agriculture has announced the release of 2.5 million euros for the support of 36 water projects. These projects that affect drinking and wastewater management as well as flood protection should not only strengthen the ecological security of the waters in the region, but also to initiate investments of a total of 16 million euros.
Agriculture Minister Norbert Tettschnig announced the measure as part of a nationwide program in which 483 water projects are supported across Austria. This results in an investment volume of 238 million euros and secures around 4,300 jobs in commercial areas such as planning and construction.
