From November 22nd to December 22nd, the stands on Rathausplatz and Conradplatz shine with festive lighting and culinary delights. The opening was celebrated by governor's deputy Astrid Eisenkopf and Mayor Gernot Stagl, who attracted many visitors to the old town.

In the tranquil city of Rust, guests can enjoy a variety of festive treats. From homemade sausages to burned almonds to Burgenland cheese and popular Christmas cookies - the selection is tempting. The warm drinks such as mulled wine and punch, which are mostly made from regional wines and fresh ingredients, are particularly noteworthy and ensure cozy warmth on cold winter evenings.

Numerous local clubs also participated in the Advent mile.

"The Ruster Advent is one of the most beautiful Advent markets in Austria. In the meantime, it is also a great economic factor for Rust and the entire region; regional businesses, winegrowers and gastronomy benefit," said Eisenkopf during the opening and emphasized the importance of the market for local economy.

The Advent mile has developed from a small market to an important tourist attraction from a small market that attracts both locals and visitors from all over the country and beyond. The picturesque backdrop of the old town contributes significantly to the festive atmosphere and motivates the community managers to invest in the conservation and care of the historical buildings.
