10 years of women's handicraft market: A celebration of creativity in Eisenstadt

The women's handicraft market in Eisenstadt celebrated its tenth anniversary with a big festival. On Saturday and Sunday, a total of 73 talented exhibitors presented their handmade works of art and culinary delicacies in the Orangery. This event has established itself as a major meeting point for creative women who bring their passion and craft to the public. During her visit, Deputy State Governor Astrid Eisenkopf emphasized the importance of this platform and described the market as an expression of individuality, tradition and innovation.

"The market is not only a place for sales, but also a showcase for the impressive art and craftsmanship of women in our region. Here it is clear that art knows no boundaries and crafts play a crucial role in our culture," says Eisenkopf. The event attracted numerous visitors who not only admired the products but also enjoyed the creative atmosphere.

Special celebrations on the occasion of the anniversary

A special evening program was organized to celebrate the anniversary. On Saturday evening, the musical cabaret duo “Die Duetten” provided the best entertainment with their humorous chansons. Her performance brought Viennese humor and linguistic virtuosity to the stage, giving the guests an unforgettable experience.

Over the last decade, the Women's Arts and Crafts Market has provided a space for over 547 female artists and craftspeople to showcase their work to the wider public. Every year the market attracts around 2,000 visitors to the Orangery, where the variety of arts and crafts is appreciated. The positive reception and steady growth of the market underlines its relevance for the regional cultural scene.

This platform shows the great potential and power of women in the trades and strengthens their visibility in society. Astrid Eisenkopf further explained: "It is important that we support such initiatives in order to promote talented women and offer them a stage. The women's handicraft market symbolizes not only creativity, but also the collective commitment to equality and the promotion of women in business."
