security measures and new approaches

In response to the recurring ATM reproductions, the Interior Ministry, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BK) and banking representatives have signed a security pact. This aims to strengthen the monitoring measures and to promote the use of artificial intelligence to prevent ATM. According to BK director Andreas Holzer, these measures already have their effect and security concerns regarding possible injuries to residents are increasingly being taken seriously.

The authorities are aware of the risk that is based on such crimes, especially since ATMs are often placed in residential areas. Banks plan increased security precautions to protect both customers and employees. The creation of a common EFFORTS of the security forces and banks could be the key to combating this crime.
