12 award winners: honored inside the International Summer Academy Mozarteum!

On Saturday, August 12, 2025, the International Summer Academy at the Mozarteum ended under the artistic direction of Hannfried Lucke. In the past four weeks, 57 master classes took place in 13 subjects. In addition to the Young Excellence classes, the academy also offered numerous additional offers for health and professional qualifications for musicians. Particular attention was paid to the singing technique, which is also thanks to the master course with Maestra Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli and the renowned Maestra Cecilia Bartoli.

The academy honored 12 award winners for outstanding services and awarded a total of 12,000 euros, financed by the City of Salzburg's cultural fund. Among the winners there are international talents such as Jaeyoon Lee, Yootaek Lim and Veronika Loy. Their names stand for the high quality and commitment that the summer academy has to offer.

41 students were supported with sub -scholarships of 16,000 euros, funded by the Lions Club St. Johann and the Lions Club Pongau Millennium. This financial support helps to cover the growing costs for music studies and master classes, especially at a time at a time when young musicians rely on additional funding, as deutsche-stiftung-musikleben.de

public program and lectures

The program of the summer academy included lectures, studio and lecturer concerts as well as guest performances in Salzburg and Flachau. A Highlight was the lectures by neurologist Jürg Kesselring about "Music and Brain" and Moritz Bergfeld about modern recording techniques. There were also public concerts, including four matinees with the award winners who took place on Saturday.

The second edition of the summer academy also took place in the Mirabell senior residence and offered the opportunity to link the music life in the region even closer with the younger generation. It was a great success that reflects the euphoric mood of the participants in social media.
