World Ski Championships in Saalbach: How the wastewater system copes with everything!

Preparations for the World Ski Championships are already in full swing at the Saalbach-Hinterglemm ski center. The area has its own sewage treatment plant, capable of handling up to 50,000 visitors per day. According to reports from ORF Salzburg you are well prepared for the high number of visitors, as the facility already manages peaks of up to 45,000 in normal winters. Josef Ebner, the operations manager of the wastewater disposal company in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, remains calm. Despite the fully booked hotels during major events, the pressure on the infrastructure remains low because the rooms are often occupied by individuals.
