Marktoberdorf is planning a cultural beer garden: secure cooperative shares NOW!

An exciting vision for the historic farm! Florian Stowasser, the event manager from Marktoberdorf, leads a group through the wondrous but dilapidated structure from the 16th century. With a mixture of nostalgia and a sense of adventure, a plan is hatched to save the old farm from complete decay and revive it! From a cozy café to show workshops for craftsmen to a cultural beer garden – the ideas are flowing. Stowasser and his team want to bring back the lively atmosphere and make Marktoberdorf flourish. “We want to advance Marktoberdorf and make the city worth living in!” he says with a passion that is infectious.

Looking for 2,000 cooperative shares!

The calculation is simple but challenging: Citizens' cooperatives should come into play in order to manage the cost-intensive renovation and conversion measures, which amount to two to three million euros. Anyone can join in and purchase shares for 1,000 euros! But here is the crux of the matter: a total of 2,000 shares must be sold so that the “Tagwerk 27” project can be realized. “Everyone should take part – that’s the only way we can do this,” emphasizes Stowasser and you can feel the unshakable will behind his words. A true community effort that demands support!

Urlau's success model as inspiration

An inspiring example is the “Allgäuer Genussmanufaktur” in Urlau, where citizens revitalized an old brewery building with half a million euros. There are 16 craft businesses, a village shop and a café located here. “A lot of people have to pull together,” demands Christian Skrodzki, the initiator of this success story. Together, according to the message, strength can be felt in the collective: “You can feel the power of we!” With the support of the community, politicians and citizens, such a project can also be successful in Marktoberdorf.

Stowasser and his team have been recruiting supporters with full enthusiasm since June and have already sold 300 of 2,000 shares. That means 1,700 shares are still needed! But they are optimistic: “It’s simply a fantastic opportunity to revitalize the city center and give the people of Marktoberdorf back a piece of home!” exclaims Stowasser, firmly committed to his vision. This adventure is just too exciting to miss!
