Police are looking for witnesses after a gas station robbery in Leipzig!
On December 17, 2024, between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., a license plate was stolen from a car in Röschitz. The perpetrator, described as a male with southern appearance and around 170 cm tall, wore a conspicuous light blue hood and a green jacket. Despite a search that was launched immediately, the unknown perpetrator has not yet been found meinkreis.at reported.
Armed robbery at gas station
Two days earlier, on December 15, 2024, an armed man attacked the bft gas station in Paunsdorf, Leipzig. At around 9:45 p.m., the perpetrator entered the gas station, threatened the two employees with pepper spray and a sharp object before taking a few hundred euros from the cash register. Fortunately, both women remained uninjured and were able to retreat to the personnel area. The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the approximately 40-year-old, powerfully built perpetrator, who appeared at the time of the crime in dark clothing and a hood, reports tag24.de.
The connection between these two incidents shows a worrying pattern of crime in the region. While in Röschitz there was a perpetrator who deliberately stole license plates, in Leipzig it was an attack in which violence was threatened. This raises questions about security in these areas.
