A shocking tuning meeting turned Werre Park in Bad Oeynhausen into a battlefield of lawlessness on Saturday evening! Over 1,000 vehicles and thousands of onlookers flocked together as car posers and tuning enthusiasts gathered to celebrate the end of the season. A massive police operation became necessary as the situation spiraled out of control and traffic came to a standstill in the city and at the A30 motorway exits.

The tuning scene had arranged to meet up for this spectacular event via social media, but the planning led to chaos when the designated location was moved from Melle to Bad Oeynhausen at short notice. In order to minimize the impending risk, the police quickly and decisively closed the entrances to the parking lots and thus prevented an even greater rush.

Shocking violations and dangerous actions

But the authorities' worries came true: drift rides, burnouts and illegal drag races were staged on the park grounds. The situation escalated further when numerous participants set off fireworks and Bengalos, which heated up the dangerous atmosphere. The police were unfazed and used a drone to fly over the celebrating crowd - this was secured while officers cracked down.

In order to counteract the wave of administrative offenses and criminal offenses, law enforcement measures were taken and outgoing traffic was checked at various checkpoints. This action required support from police officers from Bielefeld, Osnabrück, Steinfurt and Warendorf, who worked alongside the Minden-Lübbeck law enforcement officers to regain control of the situation.
