A bizarre traffic accident occurred on November 1st, 2024 at around 9:15 p.m. on the L276 between Leuscheid and Weyerbusch. A 20-year-old driver was unable to withstand the harsh conditions: her BMW skidded due to thick fog and damp roads. The result? The vehicle crashed into a sign and a guide post! The passenger, only 25 years old, was seriously injured in the collision and had to be taken to hospital immediately with severe bruises.
Dangerous driving situation!
What makes the story even more shocking? The driver could possibly have been under the influence of drugs! While the police were investigating the accident, there were indications of drug influence. A blood sample was taken to ensure road safety was not compromised by reckless decisions. The BMW was no longer drivable after the incident and had to be laboriously towed away. The Altenkirchen police therefore urge you to adjust your speed, especially in this autumnal weather, and to drive responsibly.
