Burglaries in Weeze: Police are looking for witnesses after four crimes!
In the last few days, the police in Weeze have recorded several break-ins that show a worrying pattern. The acts took place between October 14th and 20th, 2024 and are aimed at various private residential buildings in the city.
The first report concerned a single-family home on the street “Am Großen Graf”. Unknown intruders broke in between Monday and Saturday by breaking open a window. After breaking in, the perpetrators searched several rooms in the house. However, no statement can currently be made about the exact value of the possible loot, which poses challenges for the police in their investigative work.
The burglaries in detail
Another burglary at the same address occurred on October 19, 2024 between 2:40 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. Here too, a window was forced open and the perpetrators searched the premises again, but there is no information yet about any valuables stolen.
In addition, there was another incident on Gehrstrasse between 7:00 p.m. and October 20th at 1:40 a.m. on October 19th. The perpetrators pried open a door and searched the interior of another single-family home. At the moment, the exact loot from this break-in remains unclear, which suggests that the perpetrators may have used a similar approach.
The last known break-in took place on “Am Backhaus” street between the evening of October 19th and the early morning of October 20th. The unknown suspects broke in through the patio door and stole a low four-figure amount of cash as well as some gold jewelry, including a chain and a ring.
The police are investigating whether there are connections between the various burglaries, as the perpetrators' modus operandi appears to be similar in all cases. This could indicate that the same people may be behind the crimes.
In order to obtain further information and possibly find the perpetrators, the police are asking for the public's help. Witnesses who have made suspicious observations are asked to contact the criminal police in Goch on 02823 1080. Investigations are already underway and any relevant information could help solve these crimes.
