A series of burglaries is raising alarming alarms in Heiligenhaus and Langenfeld

Drama in the Mettmann district! In the last few days, brazen criminals have committed several burglaries and the police are on the hunt for the perpetrators! Whether in Heiligenhaus or Langenfeld – the fear of unscrupulous burglars is growing!

On Monday afternoon, November 11th, 2024, unknown persons broke into a model shop on the main street in Heiligenhaus. Between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. they entered the business premises through the glass front door and searched everything for valuables! The gang not only grabbed cash, but also model kits and electrical appliances. The harm instigated? Several hundred euros! But that wasn't all! They also tried to break into an adjacent wool shop, but failed! The perpetrators were able to escape undetected!

Burglaries in Langenfeld!

Things were just as chaotic in Langenfeld: from Friday evening, November 8th, to Monday morning, November 11th, burglars broke into a ground floor apartment on Isarweg. They made it into the rooms through a bathroom window that was probably tilted and searched them for valuables. Jewelry and electrical items were targeted and snatched! No value is currently known - but the damage is also several hundred euros.

But the horror continued! On the same Monday, between 5:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the unknown strangers broke into an apartment on Bismarckstrasse again. They opened the apartment door with brute force and searched the entire apartment! The cash and gold jewelry they stole remain in the dark - but the damage is once again in the hundreds. Again in the afternoon there was a break-in in a mezzanine apartment on Haus-Garath-Weg: here too, the perpetrators broke in through a window and ransacked everything! The police in Langenfeld fear for the safety of citizens and are calling on witnesses to come forward.
