In a wave of burglaries, there were massive thefts in several places around Friedberg on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, which made people sit up and take notice! Burglars seem to blithely break into single-family homes while the residents unsuspectingly continue their daily activities. In Nieder-Wöllstadt, perpetrators vandalized a single-family home on Rheinstrasse by breaking a window and searching a large number of rooms. They ended up disappearing with cash and valuable jewelry, unnoticed between 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
But that was just the beginning! In Okarben, the burglars climbed over the roof of a winter garden and opened a window on the first floor before breaking into the house on Saalburgstrasse. Here, too, there is currently no information about the items stolen. The same thing happened in Burg-Gräfenrode, where burglars stormed into the house between 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. through a broken patio door and were also able to take jewelry and cash. A break-in into a ground floor apartment in Bad Nauheim, where the perpetrators entered via a rear patio door, was also reported. Here they stole watches and jewelry.
Witnesses urgently wanted!
The criminal police in Friedberg are asking for information from witnesses who observed suspicious people or vehicles between 3:00 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. in order to catch the perpetrators. But that's not all: the Bad Vilbel police also urgently need support! A 14-year-old cyclist was slightly injured in an accident on Friday morning, November 8, 2024, when a white small car that ignored the right of way hit her and just kept driving! Witnesses who saw anything are asked to come forward.
And the damage doesn't stop there! Incredible property damage amounting to EUR 19,000 was caused when an 18-year-old in Bad Nauheim rammed an oncoming BMW X4 while turning left, injuring a passenger. In the meantime, the thieves from the construction site in Rosbach did not remain idle: They cracked a construction container and stole equipment worth around EUR 4,000. A worrying picture of criminal activity that is making citizens sit up and take notice!
