Burglars on the hunt for cigarettes: Roller shutters stop more perpetrators in Kronberg!
Bad Homburg v.d. height (ots)
In the early morning hours of October 29, 2024, precisely at 2:45 a.m., brazen burglars struck in Oberursel! Using force, they cracked open the door of a kiosk on Nassauer Strasse and ruthlessly targeted cigarettes and cash. The masked perpetrators, both of whom were athletically built, stormed into the premises and made off with a loot that took them fleeing into the darkness. One perpetrator was wearing a winter jacket with a hood and sneakers, while the other camouflaged himself with a hat. The police have already taken over the investigation and are calling for help. Anyone with information is asked to call (06171) 6240-0.
Roller shutter as a protective shield
Meanwhile, a roller shutter in Kronberg-Oberhochstadt can be celebrated as a real hero! On the night of October 25th to 26th, 2024, between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., burglars desperately failed because of a lowered roller shutter on a patio door in Ahornweg. Despite their vigorous attempts to lift it, they ultimately lost out and gave up. Their failed plan caused damage of around 1,500 euros. The criminal police are investigating and are asking for information on (06174) 9266-0.
Traffic prevention in full swing
The police also intervened in Oberursel on October 28, 2024! During targeted traffic controls in the city, numerous road users were once again put through their paces. The focus was on alcohol and drug driving. Four traffic offenses were reported on Homburger Landstrasse and Niederstedter Strasse. The action not only brought alcohol test results to light, but also apparently various violations. Blood samples had to be taken from four drivers, while a total of 29 further administrative offenses were registered. A clear warning to all road users: the police are keeping an eye on you!
