Chaos in Wiesbaden! Last Friday, October 25, 2024, a 47-year-old woman from the Hochtaunus district made headlines when she demolished a parked car with an iron bar on Rathausstrasse and tried to attack a shocked witness. The police, alerted by concerned callers, intervened at the right moment and brought the rioter to the station, where it turned out that she was in a psychological state of emergency. This led directly to her being placed in a psychiatric hospital, while the witness remained unharmed. Investigations into possible further damage are ongoing!
But that wasn't all! A few hours later, late in the evening of October 25th, the police officers were called upon again. On Rheinstrasse, in the middle of a busy night, a fight broke out with up to 15 people involved. According to initial information, an insult was the trigger for this violent confrontation, in which at least two people were injured. While five people involved in the altercation were temporarily arrested, some of the injured had to be taken to a hospital in Wiesbaden. The police are calling on witnesses to come forward!

There was also another incident in the supermarket on Nerostrasse on Friday. A 36-year-old cashier was brutally attacked while asking a 26-year-old customer for ID. The frustrated customer brawler gave vent to his displeasure and punched the cashier, resulting in head injuries. Thanks to the police's quick response, the perpetrator was arrested nearby, while the injured cashier required medical treatment.
Another scandalous event occurred on Saturday morning, October 26, 2024, when a 54-year-old man was checked on his e-scooter and had over 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his blood. This also reiterates the problem of driving under the influence - the man's driver's license has already been seized. And the city's security concept, "Safe Wiesbaden", was further enforced that same night, with checks against possible acts of violence and the discovery of a banned one-hand knife. It remains exciting in Wiesbaden – every day offers new excitement!
