Sophia Thomalla and Alexander Zverev, one of Germany's most prominent couples, are in the spotlight both for their glamorous relationship and the challenges that come with it. The couple, who have been together since October 2021, give insights into their lives in the new RTL+ documentary “Zverev: The Unfinished”. She finds these rituals superstitious and recognizes that they represent a sign of insecurity for her. The two are currently in Melbourne, where Zverev will start at the Australian Open on January 12th, while Thomalla, as she herself reveals, would rather relax at home, "but it's unthinkable," she adds.
In addition, in the documentary they reflect on how important they are to each other. Zverev expresses gratitude for Thomalla's support, which helped him realize that there is more to life than just tennis. “It gives me the chance to realize that there is a lot more out there than tennis,” says the current world number one player. Thomalla makes it clear that this relationship requires a balance of help and mutual understanding, while she also humorously notes that her boyfriend is not good at cooking and the challenges of tennis life are often very intense, as evidenced not only by the long recovery process after his serious injury.
