Aaron Fara moves to WWE: The rise of a judo star in the show fighting world!

Aaron Fara, an outstanding judoka from Austria, has refocused his sporting career. Eight years ago he gained international attention by winning the European Junior Championship title. He recently competed in the 100kg weight class at both the Paris Olympics and the Grand Slam Tour, where he was eliminated in the first round in both the individual and team categories. Fara, who belongs to the Wimpassing judo club, has an impressive success story, including being a three-time Austrian junior champion and a medalist in various international competitions. Now he has how ORF NOE reported making the switch to wrestling.

On Tuesday, Fara signed a three-year contract with leading wrestling organization WWE. After receiving his US work permit, he will begin training for “NXT – Next Generation” in Orlando, Florida in February. Fara is excited about the new challenge, especially the opportunity to fight in front of a large crowd of spectators. “It’s a completely new world and a huge perspective for me,” he explains. His move comes after he stressed that he also wants to develop his talents in wrestling, even though many elements are new to him.

A farewell with mixed feelings

Fara was born in Bad Erlach and looks back emphatically on his time in judo, for which he is grateful to many people, including his trainer and the association representatives. “I owe a lot to judo,” he says. The decision to leave Japanese martial arts behind was not easy for him. Nevertheless, he sees exciting opportunities for his future in the world of wrestling. “I always had a penchant for show,” is how he describes his ambitions.

How Wikipedia Notes, Fara has achieved success not only in judo, where he holds the rank of Sandan, but also in other areas of life, including training as a masseur. His move into the wrestling scene is seen as a loss for the Austrian sport of judo, and many hope that he will also be successful in the new sport. Martin Poiger, President of the Judo Association, says goodbye to him with the words that Fara is a “super guy” who will certainly make a career in wrestling.
