Finished finance minister Grasser is fighting for his freedom in the Buwog process!

Justizpalast, Österreich - A fateful moment in the Palace of Justice: Ex-finance minister Karl-Heinz Grasser has fervently defended itself against the serious allegations in the Buwog process. On the second day of the trial, his passionate words silenced the court. Grasser, who threatens a prison sentence of up to eight years, said: "It is very important to me to tell you that I have not made any secret." He made it clear that the sale of state real estate was carried out in the best interest of the republic and secured his point of view with the argument: "The best bidder has been awarded the contract." Was exposed to years of the procedure.

Again Grasser emphasized that the procedure represents an immense burden for him: "It takes 1,635 days and nights that you think about this procedure continuously." He particularly underlined the importance of the judgment: "At the end of the day you decide on my life, my fate." On Tuesday at 10 a.m., the Supreme Court will decide whether Grasser has to go to prison. The procedure was examined by the general power of attorney, which several times abandoned the defense allegations. A bias of the judge was also excluded. As reported , Grasser remains confident and says: "I have a pure conscience." His co -accused shows similar beliefs: "I still don't feel like having broken something." The judgment is eagerly awaited and could have far-reaching consequences for Grasser and the Buwog affair.
