Trial for xenophobia: Hitler's shadow in Tyrol!
Recently, a 26-year-old man was charged before the Innsbruck regional court because he is said to have caused a xenophobic incident during a police check in St. Johann in the Tyrolean lowlands. On July 14 of this year, he shouted “Fuck Turks” and “Deport him” several times while singing slogans such as “Germany for the Germans” and “Foreigners out” to the tune of the well-known song “L’Amour toujours,” reports Today.at. This happened at a large club festival, the “Jaggas’n”. The man is not only accused of repeat activity, but he is also charged with attempted resistance to state authority and serious bodily harm.
A trial with explosive allegations
The trial will take place next Tuesday in the jury room of the Innsbruck regional court and is scheduled to last the whole day. This is not the first incident of this kind in Tyrol. At an event organized by the Uderns rural youth in the Zillertal in June, there was also a similar incident in which xenophobic songs were sung, as Christoph Pirnbacher, chairman of the rural youth, told us Spiegel.de confirmed. Such incidents shed a negative light on several social events where discriminatory expressions and behavior are openly displayed.
Such offenses are particularly serious in Austria because they represent a serious violation of the values of our society. The pressure on the courts to act decisively and quickly in such matters is constantly growing in order to prevent such tendencies and take a stand against racism.
