IT revolution in Vienna: How artificial intelligence shapes our future!

On Monday, March 3, 2025, the event "42 Connect: Experts in Dialogue" took place at the Digital Excellence Campus 42 Vienna, where experts from the industry discussed the crucial role of IT for economic progress. Under the motto "No IT - No Business Progress" it became clear that companies that ignore digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) will suffer significant competitive disadvantages. According to the experts, digitization could increase gross domestic product annually by up to 1.9 %, whereby AI can contribute 1.6 % per year to this growth by 2035 alone, reports the APA

The discussants, including Roland Sommer from the Industry 4.0 platform and Johannes Ullmann from EVVA Sicherheitstechnology GmbH, emphasized the importance of modernizing outdated IT systems. "Today, not only companies, but entire supply chains compete with each other," said Sommer. This underlines the need for a clear digitization strategy in order to remain competitive in an increasingly digitized world. During the event, the students were able to exchange knowledge with the experts in a networking session, which strengthens the bridge between theory and practice. This event made it clear that companies that do not get involved in IT-supported processes, run the risk, cost and market opportunities.

Fischer said: "The AI not only revolutionizes our world of work, but also our everyday life." The event discussed the effects of AI on different sectors and the role of the European Union in the regulation of these technologies.

The participation of leading experts: Inside, like Lena Marie Glaser and Claudia Behr, offered valuable insights and perspectives in a complex topic. The discussion made it clear that innovative solutions can be developed through common dialogue and cooperation. Vienna thus proves to be an important player in dealing with sustainable technologies, emphasizes the Future Vienna.
