Fantastic gastronomy opportunities at Lake Faaker See: Apply now!
At Lake Faaker See in Carinthia, two dining establishments are available for new lease: the Panoramabeach in Drobollach and the Sunsetbeach in Egg. Both pools are popular excursion destinations for families, cyclists and day visitors, and offer great opportunities for interested tenants who want to realize their gastronomic concept. The application deadline ends on October 31st.
The panoramic beach is considered one of the largest free lake accesses in Carinthia and attracts numerous visitors every year. The catering offering includes a restaurant, a kiosk and a roof terrace that offers a total of 250 seats. The fully equipped kitchen allows for comprehensive dining, which is popular with families and guests of all ages. Vice Mayor Sarah Katholnig is paying particular attention to a long-term new tender for the catering industry in Panoramabeach in order to further increase the attractiveness of the location.
Sunsetbeach – A place of relaxation
Sunsetbeach in Egg is also looking for new operators. This barrier-free and family-friendly facility offers a buffet with a seating terrace and evening dining with sunset views. Free parking spaces are available in an area of 6,500 square meters. The location is ideally located on the cycle and walking path around Lake Faaker See and could generate additional income through the rental of cabins, loungers, pavilions and pedal boats.
Both beaches are to be re-leased from the 2026 season. Interested parties can send their applications to Kohl & Partner, Hans-Gasser-Platz 9, 9500 Villach, and contact the company by email at office@kohl-partner.at.
Gastronomic diversity in the region
There are also other culinary highlights in the area around Lake Faak. For example, the family-run country house Hazienda, which is characterized by a quiet location and a panoramic terrace. Here guests can enjoy fresh and regional dishes served by attentive staff. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including steaks, schnitzels, as well as vegetarian and vegan options such as falafel balls and chili smoked tofu.
The gastronomy area at Lake Faak not only offers opportunities for new operators in the beach resorts, but also a variety of gastronomic experiences that attract and delight guests. The region is proving to be an attractive destination for enjoyment and relaxation, and the new leases could help to further diversify and improve the offering.
