The likeable ex-Rapidler Leo Greiml remains loyal to Dutch football! NAC Breda proudly announced the central defender's early contract extension until the summer of 2027. This decision is hardly surprising, as the 23-year-old has established himself as an integral part of the team in the Eredivisie and has already scored two goals in 21 games. Peter Maas, the technical director of NAC, praises: “Leo is developing strongly with us, both in terms of football and personally.”
Greiml, who moved to Breda from FC Schalke 04 on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, is enthusiastic about his time at the club. “I felt very comfortable here,” he says, emphasizing the great support of the fans, who give him a lot of motivation. In his career so far, Greiml has struggled with injuries, including multiple cruciate ligament tears and a meniscus injury. But now he finally seems to be finding his footing in Breda and has regained confidence in his abilities after only appearing sporadically for the Schalke 04 professionals.
