FCK celebrates 125 years - big anniversary program is now starting!

Kaiserslautern, Deutschland - The 1st FC Kaiserslautern will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2025. On the occasion of this remarkable anniversary, those responsible have planned an extensive program with numerous highlights until autumn. Wolfgang Erfurt, the CEO, and Daniel Stich, the head of the organizational committee, presented the timetable for the festivities on January 7, 2025. The celebrations are aimed at all FCK supporters, including season ticket holders, members and employees.

The planned highlights include a large fan festival on June 2 and a Club festival on June 14th. In the second half of July, an anniversary game against a well-known opponent is played. An anniversary stream is also presented. In April an interactive family exhibition entitled "Football fever-football history (s) from Rhineland-Palatinate" starts in the former Gondrophon building. This exhibition should remain open until at least October and the visibility of the FCK in the city is increased by club logos and foiling along important streets.

The fan festival on June 2 will take place in the fan hall of the Norbert-Thines-North grandstand and will attract top-class guests from sport, politics and culture. The club festival on June 14th in the Fröhnerhof sports park will include the presentation of all departments of the main club. Games are also planned, including a match of the Lotto elf against the FCK tradition team as well as a fan club tournament and a game of the women's team. The FCK will be present at Lautrer Altstadtfest from July 4th to 6th and provide a stage on which personalities will appear from the club history.

In addition, the 1st FC Kaiserslautern will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his championship as a promoted one on September 8th. This event is recognized with a benefit game under the motto "Home from the heroes-for 20 years the miracle of the Betze" in the Fritz-Walter Stadium. The then master team under coach Otto Rehhagel will compete against the “German Football Legends” team around Mario Basler. The organizers announced these details on Monday in Ludwigshafen.
