Search operation in Kleinarl: dream vacation ends tragically for 76-year-old!
A tragic incident shocked the Kleinarl ski area in Salzburg. On March 20, 2025, a large-scale search operation was launched for a 76-year-old Chinese citizen who was vacationing with her daughter. The woman had taken the lift in the afternoon without ski equipment and then walked to a ski hut on a snow-free forest road. From there she separated from her companions to go back to the elevator alone. When she didn't arrive in the valley, her companions informed the police around 4 p.m., which triggered an extensive search operation involving Alpine police, mountain rescue, fire services and even a police helicopter. Unfortunately, the search had to be interrupted during the night, but the next morning her body was discovered at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level near the Ahornkaralm, with no signs of foul play fireworld.at reported.
While such a tragic situation was taking place in Kleinarl, a search was also underway in Hörsching. However, detailed information about this incident was not presented. The Hippmann dance school took advantage of the attention and at the same time invited people to Austria's second Schlagerball, which will take place on April 5th. The event will be accompanied by the band “Fantasy” and several DJs on five floors. WT1.at reports on this celebration, which forms a contrast to the serious incidents in Kleinarl. However, it is unclear whether this event has any influence on the tragic developments in the region.
