On August 28, 2025, 36 machinists from the Traunstein district completed blue light driving training on a simulator in the Traunreut fire station. This practical training aims to ensure the safe transport of crew and vehicles during operations. The event took place on a total of six evening dates and lasted around two and a half hours. In addition to the practical journeys, the training also included the legal principles of road traffic, which ensured comprehensive training for the participants. The simulator used costs around 175,000 euros and is financed by the State Ministry of the Interior and the Bavarian Insurance Chamber. Two of these simulators are currently in operation in Bavaria.
