A dramatic accident occurred early Tuesday morning in central Saxony! A 34-year-old truck driver lost control of his vehicle on the S200 around 4:10 a.m. and overturned. The driver's cab is upside down and the trucker is trapped - a shocking picture that poses major challenges for the emergency services!
The truck, which was loaded with chipboard, left the road in Altmittweida and ended up lying upside down across the street. The material damage is estimated at an incredible 120,000 euros. The fire department had to arrive to free the seriously injured driver and take him to hospital. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is already underway, while the rescue work will still take hours.

Police have announced that the S200 is expected to remain fully closed until the afternoon. This not only means significant traffic disruptions, but also that the emergency services continue to work intensively on recovering the truck.
