Training for fire brigade: mastering new challenges!

In the city of Kindberg (STMK), valuable training for the Voestalpine Tubulars company Fire brigade took place in the first half of March 2025. The training period began on March 6, 2025 with a specialized course for vehicle and loading cranes, in which a total of 18 firefighters took part. This measure is crucial, since the participants can operate the loading crane on the WLF-K in the future, which significantly increases the operational capacity of the fire brigade. The training was made possible by the startup driving school Harry, which is an important step in training.

On the evening of March 7, 2025, another important training for 30 emergency services was carried out: The further training on the topic of "respiratory protection filling point personnel" by the company Aquatechnik Graz KG, which is mandatory every three years. In order to consolidate the practical handling of breathing apparatus, the weir was also invited to a section exercise at the Veitsch volunteer fire brigade. The new breathing protection filling container in cooperation with the Krieglach volunteer fire brigade was successfully tested by refilling breathing protection bottles directly at the site.
