Further training for firefighters: Mastering new challenges!

Valuable training sessions for the voestalpine Tubulars company fire department took place in the city of Kindberg (STMK) in the first half of March 2025. The training period began on March 6, 2025 with a specialized course for vehicle and loader cranes, in which a total of 18 firefighters took part. This measure is crucial because the participants will be able to operate the loading crane on the WLF-K in the future, which will significantly increase the fire department's operational capability. The training was made possible by the startup driving school Harry, which is an important step in the training.

On the evening of March 7, 2025, another important training course was carried out for 30 emergency services: further training on the topic of “respiratory protection filling point personnel” from the company Aquatechnik Graz KG, which is mandatory every three years. In order to consolidate the practical use of breathing apparatus, the fire department was also invited to a section exercise at the Veitsch Volunteer Fire Department. The new respiratory protection filling container was successfully tested in collaboration with the Krieglach Volunteer Fire Department by refilling respiratory protection bottles directly at the site.
