Fire brigade successfully fights house fire in Zwettl!

In a dramatic operation, the fire brigades in and around Zwettl had to respond to a house fire in Mitterreith on Sunday evening. As the “Doku-NÖ” platform reported, the roof of a single-family home and parts of the upper floor were already in flames when the rescue workers arrived. Extinguishing measures were immediately initiated while the Zwettl-Stadt fire brigade got its ladder into position to fight the fire from above. Despite intensive efforts, two cats that were in the house could not be saved. However, human lives remained unharmed. After about three hours, the fire department was able to report that the fire was out. In order to prevent a new flare-up, a fire safety watch was set up, so noen.at.
