On the night of February 8, 2025, there was a dramatic fire in an apartment building in Ansfelden, Linz-Land district. At around 12:30 a.m., neighbors were alerted when they discovered flames and heavy smoke at the back of the building. They immediately informed the fire department, which was able to react particularly quickly thanks to a lucky coincidence - numerous emergency services were gathered in the fire station after an annual general meeting, which made the rapid response possible, the OÖNachrichten reported.
The fire department was able to quickly bring the fire under control and successfully prevent it from spreading further. The affected family was not at home at the time of the incident, so there were no injuries.
