Putin's war attacks: Christmas in Ukraine shaken by rockets!
In Ukraine, massive Russian air strikes have led to chaos and destruction during Christmas holidays. According to reports from Vol.at , the attacks were targeted to the country's energy infrastructure and began in the early morning of December 25th. President Wolodymyr Selenskyj accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of deliberately chosen Christmas for this attack and spoke of "inhuman" actions. More than 70 rockets and over 100 drones were fired to Ukrainian cities, with the big city of Dnipro and the second largest city of Charkiw affected.
Despite the massive rocket fire, the Ukrainian Air Force was able to intercept about 58 of the 79 fired rockets. However, there were reports on impacts and damaged power plants, especially in the Central Lucrainian region of Dnipropetrovsk, where a worker of a thermal power plant died. The Ukrainian power grid operator DTEK reported serious damage to several heating power plants and described the attacks as "reprehensible and evil", especially in a day that is a time of peace for many people, as from fr.de berichtet. Russian rockets were also spotted in the Romanian and Moldovan air, but were not classified as threatening.
