Robbie Williams revealed his long-awaited concert secret today. On the occasion of his new hit show “Britpop”, the British superstar is touring Europe and will also stop in Austria. The concerts will take place on July 12th at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna and on September 14th at the Wörthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt. Over 85,000 fans are expected to attend this impressive show, which celebrates the heyday of British music.
The premiere of “Britpop” starts today at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, where 65,000 fans will already be in attendance. In order to cope with the increased number of visitors, 49 streets around the stadium will be closed. The show itself is described as having bombastic visual effects, dancers and a truly extraordinary set designed to captivate the audience.
The show and the new album
In the Britpop show, Robbie Williams will perform some of his best-known hits, including “Let Me Entertain You,” “Rock DJ” and “Angels.” He will also present the first samples of his new album, also titled “Britpop”, which is expected for October 2025. Current single “Rocket” features legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and is a taste of the musical diversity fans can expect in the coming months.
The tour spans 37 concerts in different countries and will last until October 7, 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye. It is Williams' first tour since the XXV Tour, which took place from 2022 to 2023, and the first since the Heavy Entertainment Show Tour in 2017. The tour will take place primarily in large stadiums and outdoor venues, providing a special atmosphere, and was first announced on November 11, 2024.
