During his two -day trip abroad to France,Prime Minister Boris Rhein promoted more European cohesion. At a time when the United States faces major changes, he emphasizes the urgency that Europe is closer together. "The friendship between Germany and France is a symbol that a deep hostility can become a great friendship," said Rhein in Wiesbaden. He called for European sovereignty in defense, economy and migration to strengthen and spoke of the need for a cross -border commitment.
in Paris Rhein had numerous political talks, including with the former President François Hollande. They discussed the effects of the US election on Ukraine and European politics. "Tracking a common line is now more important than ever. Germany and France have to become a common motor of Europe again," said Rhein. The conversations with Édouard Philippe and the Minister of European Line Benjamin Haddad were also about partnership -based relationships and the urgent solutions in the migration question. The Prime Minister also called for an urgent investment in Germany's defense ability, which in his opinion was neglected for too long.
Innovations for the future
Another highlight of the trip was to visit the "Station F", the largest start-up campus in the world. Around 1,000 start-ups and numerous innovation departments of large companies are located here. "I got to know a place of innovation that is a symbol of the future of entrepreneurship," enthused Rhein. He emphasized how creativity and technology are bundled to master the challenges of tomorrow. The impressions from France should also give Hessen important impulses for the support of innovative start-ups in order to promote their path to market maturity.
