Drivers between Heide and Rendsburg be careful! Important maintenance work will take place on the Eider Bridge near Wrohm, in the Dithmarschen district, until Wednesday. This work is planned to take place daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and involves the control technology and hydraulics of the almost 90-year-old bascule bridge. The State Office for Road Construction and Transport (LBV) warns: The bridge remains passable, but significant delays can occur!

Drivers have to be prepared for the bridge to be folded up several times as checking the technology is time-consuming. There may be waiting times during this maintenance work if the bridge has to be open for a longer period of time for inspection. A comprehensive renovation of the electronics and hydraulics last took place three years ago, but these measures are also necessary to ensure the safety of the traffic infrastructure.
