Offenbach (dpa) – Winter is back with full force! Polar air flows into Germany and brings turbulent weather with it. Tanja Egerer from the German Weather Service (DWD) warns: “The weather will be changeable in the coming days!”
Prepare for a wild weather game! Showers are always expected, and short thunderstorms could also shake up the scene. “These can occur in the form of rain, sleet, snow or sleet showers,” explains the meteorologist. And that's not all - winds will pick up with strong gusts, especially in the mountains, making winter conditions even more challenging.
Temperatures plummeting
The cold has Germany firmly under control! Temperatures will remain in the low single digits, while snow will even hover around freezing in the mountainous regions. “We have to expect light frost at night, which can lead to slippery conditions,” warns Egerer. So be careful when venturing onto the streets!
