A look at Doris zur Linden's life

Doris zur Linden, born in Flensburg in 1953, is not only an experienced journalist, but also a mother of five sons. After graduating from high school, her career began with a traineeship at the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher. After studying language and learning disabilities education in Cologne, she worked in the district editorial team of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, where she specialized in reports and local politics. Her moving experiences, especially the loss of her fourth child, flowed into her works, including the family report “Only unshed tears make you sick.” Today she lives in Cologne and dedicates herself to writing short stories and poems that capture her formative childhood experiences.
