The Christmas market "Around the Lohmen Castle" opens its goals at 2 p.m. and promises an unforgettable experience for young and old. Already for the 19th time the historical backdrop is transformed into a winter wonderland full of festive atmosphere, delicious treats and handmade gifts.

The festive start is given at 3 p.m.: Mayor and Santa Claus open the market together and cut the traditional “Lohmener Giant Stollen”, which was baked by the local Walter bakery. A piece of this specialty can be enjoyed in the tunnel café, with the proceeds to benefit from the children of the Lohmener Hortes. For the little guests there is a creative Christmas handicrafts in physiotherapy practice and the opportunity to throw their wishes into the wish list letter on the large swibbow.

The talented Michael Kotte, who ensures festive sounds, takes over the musical accompaniment of the market. At 4.30 p.m., the Lohmen trombone choir enchants with Advent melodies from the castle balcony. Another highlight of the evening is the concert of the Dresden gospel choir "The Gospel Passenger", which begins at 6 p.m. in the Hall of the Lohmen heritage court. The entrance opens at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are available in advance or at the box office.
