Undecided US voters have decided: Who are their favorites?

Everything is on a knife edge in the race for the White House! Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are fighting for every eligible American. Shortly before the election date, the BBC spoke again to undecided voters, and while many have made up their minds, some are still on the fence. Who will get the coveted votes?

Felicity, a voting mother, is torn between Harris and Trump. She expresses frustration: "I have no idea. It's so hard!" She used to vote for Trump, but now sees human qualities in Harris: "I think I'm leaning towards Harris when I think about who I would trust with my daughter." Jeremy, on the other hand, a former Trump voter, has decided against his impulsive rhetoric and plans to vote for Harris after following recent developments. He finds Harris “at least a sophisticated personality.”

The change of voters

But not everyone is enthusiastic about the two main candidates. Tracy made her decision to go with a third party because she is unhappy with both big names. "I'm not happy with our presidential candidates. One is a tyrant who wants to own the country, the other wants to give it all away." And Vanessa explains why she is turning to Hanns Trump: "The immigration problem was not solved during Biden's presidency. I see Trump as the better choice."

William takes a critical look at Harris' stance over the last few months and gets involved with Green Party member Jill Stein, while Jessi also wants to switch to Stein because she hasn't heard any substantive statements from Harris. “There’s just nothing that convinced me,” she says. Eventually, Chance discovers new encouragement for Harris, just after Trump attacks Puerto Ricans at an event. “It would be good to have a female president,” says Chance optimistically.
