The elderly driver was on his way to the city center in his Opel when he collided with a 71-year-old cyclist on Brunnenstrasse around 2 p.m. As a result of the violent impact, the cyclist fell and was trapped under the vehicle. Immediate rescue measures were necessary.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was immediately flown to hospital by rescue helicopter. But the situation escalated further: the Opel driver was no longer responsive and had to be resuscitated immediately.
