Child hit by car in Jena – mother watched helplessly!

Jena.In a disturbing series of events, Jena police report several incidents, including an accident involving a child and a mobile home theft, both of which occurred on Tuesday night.

An accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when a six-year-old girl was hit by a car. According to the investigating officers, the child suddenly ran into the street, which came as a surprise to both the driver and the girl's mother. The mother was unable to react in time, which resulted in the driver being unable to brake and hitting the child. Fortunately, despite the shocking incident, the child was uninjured and only had to be taken to hospital for an examination.

Valuable theft and break-ins

Another incident that concerns the citizens of Jena concerns the theft of a Citroen motorhome. This was parked in front of an institute in Jena West the night before the accident. The perpetrators tampered with the vehicle unnoticed and drove away with the motorhome worth 46,000 euros. According to the police, the vehicle is now being sought, but so far there is no information about the perpetrators.

In addition to these incidents, a double burglary was discovered on Theobald-Renner-Straße. Unknown perpetrators broke the windows of two vehicles to access potentially valuable items inside. But luck didn't favor the burglars; They only found empty spaces and stopped without any stolen goods. The police have launched an investigation to find out more about the motives and identity of the perpetrators.

The incidents paint a worrying picture regarding security in Jena. The accident with the child in particular illustrates how quickly such situations can arise and calls on citizens to be more vigilant in traffic. Authorities have already stepped up efforts to avoid such incidents in the future.
