The Augustinian church in Gotha is now accessible. This significant improvement for people with impairments was achieved with great commitment and effort. Pastor Fuhrmann noticed that obstacles were removed by various “miracles” that made the project possible. Rudolf Nicolai, a member of the parish, had the leading role in the conversion and ensured that accessibility not only takes into account wheelchair users, but also visually impaired and hearing impaired people.

In addition to the barrier -free church, the hostel in the Augustinian monastery Gotha offers a well thought -out accommodation with 17 bright and expedient rooms, each have its own bathroom with shower and toilet. In the hostel, TV, radio and telephone were dispensed with to offer the guests a calm atmosphere. A free WLAN code is available at the reception during opening hours.
