Therme Bad Dürkheim: Costs rise to a shocking 44.8 million euros!

The Dürkheimer Therme is more expensive than expected! How Rhine Palatinate reported, the total cost estimate is now a whopping 44.8 million euros. This new sum already includes a financial buffer and has increased significantly compared to previous estimates, which were 4.3 million euros. This increase of almost half a million euros was caused by construction delays and additional costs such as 75,000 euros for scaffolding as well as unexpected expenses for roof insulation and soundproofing measures. The head of the municipal utilities, Peter Kistenmacher, reported to the city council that 31 million euros had already been billed, while the exact financial details about renovations and new heating systems still need to be clarified.
