Telekom brings lightning-fast network to the Rhein-Hunsrück district!

Frankfurt am Main, November 11, 2024 – Mobile phone coverage in the Rhein-Hunsrück district has taken a huge leap forward! In the last two months, Deutsche Telekom has not only built a new location, but also upgraded an existing location with LTE. This means: More bandwidth and significantly improved coverage, which now reaches almost 100 percent of households! The new cell phone locations are located in the municipalities of Hirschfeld and Holzbach.

Expansion in full swing

Julia della Peruta, Telekom's company spokeswoman, emphasizes: "The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That's why we're continuing to move forward with mobile communications expansion." Telekom currently operates 61 locations in the Rhein-Hunsrück district and plans to add a further 29 by 2026. In addition, extensions with LTE or even 5G are in the pipeline at 15 radio masts!
