On Saturday, at the start of the 10th matchday of the district football league, only 50 fans saw an exciting duel that ended in a dramatic 2-2. The hosts dominated the first half and went into the break with a deserved 1-0 lead. But the guests from Sebnitz didn't give up and fought their way back into the game in the second half, which led to a deserved equalizer.
In the exciting final phase, victory seemed within reach for Wurgwitz when they increased the score to 2-1 in the 88th minute. But BSV double goalscorer Maksym Maskymenko had other plans and equalized 2-2 just a little later. A bitter moment for SGW coach Kai Starke, who was annoyed about the missed opportunities: “We have to lead more clearly at halftime.” For BSV colleague Andre Berger, the draw was only fair, given the different halves.
