Serious accident in Stemwede: 68-year-old fights for her life!

On Saturday evening, November 2nd, there was a dramatic traffic accident in Stemwede that left residents in suspense! At around 6:19 p.m., a Mercedes, driven by a 44-year-old from Porta Westfalica, collided with an Opel at the intersection of Alter Postweg (L770) and Twiehauser Straße. The 68-year-old driver from Bad Essen, who was driving south on Twiehauser Straße, was seriously injured in the collision.

The impact was violent! The older woman's Opel was thrown with full force into the adjacent grass verge. While the 44-year-old fortunately remained uninjured, the 68-year-old's fate was sealed - her life was in danger! An ambulance was immediately called and immediately took the injured woman to a nearby hospital. The fire brigade, police and an emergency doctor were quickly on site to deal with the situation.

Accident site closed

The police deployed a traffic accident team from Dortmund to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident. The two vehicles were impounded and the scene of the accident remained closed until 3:30 a.m. Investigations are ongoing to determine the background to this terrible incident!
