Schützenkönig Beecker delights children with a harbor tour in Neustadt!

Neustadt in Holstein experienced an unforgettable adventure on the water last Wednesday! Schützenkönig Birger Beecker, the operator of the Lübeck Bay sailing and motorboat school, invited five children and young people from the “Social Group Neustadt” of the Ostholstein Child Protection Association to a spectacular harbor tour. Together with their social worker Katrin Borchert, they set sail on the “Lütt Butt” and experienced a day full of joy and experiences.

The exciting tour took the group right through Neustädter Hafen, past impressive views, to buoy 1. But that wasn't all! The huge marina of the Ancora Marina awaited the young adventurers with a delicious ice cream break. “After being elected king of the Neustadt Rifle Guild on June 1st, I would like to get involved socially in my royal year,” explained 87-year-old Birger Beecker. And he has even more planned: “There will be more trips at sea, which I will also offer to the Child Protection Association’s after-school center, for example.” This initiative shows the importance of sharing joy and adventure, especially with those who need it most.

The harbor tour was not just an excursion, but a real highlight for the children and young people, who had the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Neustadt harbor up close. This type of social engagement not only brings joy, but also creates unforgettable memories for everyone involved.
