Kiel. In early Saturday morning, around 4 a.m., a dramatic traffic accident occurred directly before the main fire brigade and rescue. Two vehicles crashed together at the Westring / Gutenbergstrasse intersection, and a man was caught in his car. The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear, but the situation was dangerous - the driver could not free himself!

The integrated ambulance control center reacted immediately and alerted the fire -fighting train of the Kiel professional fire brigade and the emergency services. Fortunately, the site was only a stone's throw away! The firefighters worked quickly and efficiently to gain access to the trapped driver. After only 45 minutes the man was liberated and was immediately taken to a hospital for the medical examination.

The two vehicles suffered a total loss and the police have already started the investigation into the course of the accident.
