Leipzig 2025: A year full of cultural highlights and exciting events!
On January 6, 2025, Leipzig Tourismus und Marketing (LTM) GmbH published a press release presenting the event highlights for the coming year. The message, published at 10:20 a.m., cites a quote from Pericles: “The point is not to predict the future, but to be prepared for the future.” With these words we wish you an optimistic start to a healthy and successful year 2025.
Numerous cultural and sporting highlights are planned for Leipzig and the region in 2025. Almost all festivals, trade fairs and events that have aroused great interest in previous years are also planned for the coming year. An overview of around 600 event highlights can be found in the file “LEIPZIG: Event Highlights 2025”, which is provided in the appendix to the press release. This compilation is based on work by the organizers from 2024 and research by LTM GmbH. LTM GmbH points out that it assumes no liability for the listed highlights to take place and recommends that you obtain information in good time on the homepages of the respective organizers. Please also refer to the contact option for additions or corrections at the email address presse@ltm-leipzig.de. The preview will be updated regularly in the coming weeks.
PARTNER HORSE 2025
One of the first major events in 2025 will be PARTNER PFERD. This will take place in Leipzig from January 16th to 19th, 2025 and offers an international competition in jumping and team driving, various shows and an expo. This is the 27th edition of this event, which combines sport, expo and show as three main pillars.
The competitions include the Great Savings Bank Prize in Leipzig, which serves as qualification for the World Cup final in Basel. The final stages of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ and the FEI Driving World Cup™ for sidecar drivers are also on the agenda. The show program includes the Sparkasse Sports Gala on Friday evening and the Leipzig Horse Night on Saturday evening.
The expo will take place in exhibition halls 1 and 3 and offers horse lovers a shopping experience. The attractions include an action ring, a children's adventure world, a western village and an Icelandic horse village. Also new this year is a startup area in Hall 3 and an X-Trail course with an area of 300 square meters. Informative forums are offered for exchange with the horse community. In 2024, PARTNER PFERD recorded over 250 exhibitors and 77,100 visitors. The event includes equestrian sports, Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ and FEI Driving World Cup™ qualifications, an expo area, informative forums and action ring demonstrations.
In addition, there will be a raffle of tournament evening tickets on Saturday, January 18th to attract even more visitors.
