Dynamo Dresden: Coach Stamm starts the new year with a breath of fresh air!
Dynamo Dresden celebrated the start of training on January 5, 2025 with 350 fans in the cold weather. The team is currently at the top of the 3rd league. Coach Thomas Stamm does not want to dwell on the mistakes of last year, in which promotion was lost in the second half of the season, but emphasizes the importance of a new team and a new year.
In this context, Stamm emphasized that an analysis of past mistakes is important. He has defined five key points for the current season:
Dynamo Dresden's goal is to return to the 2nd Bundesliga at the third attempt.
Preparation for the second half of the season
As the official Dynamo Dresden website reports, head coach Thomas Stamm ordered lactate and performance tests on January 3, 2025 in order to obtain important data for the second half of the season. The first training session of the new year took place on January 4th at 3:40 p.m. in the AOK PLUS Walter Fritzsch Academy. All Dynamo fans were invited to this first session.
After two more days of training in Dresden, the SGD begins its winter training camp on the Turkish Riviera on January 6th, where it will stay until January 12th. Numerous training sessions are planned during the training camp and a friendly against Rot-Weiss Essen is scheduled for January 11th at 3 p.m. local time.
The team will be accommodated at the Concorde De Luxe Resort and a fan trip will be offered to Dynamo fans, allowing them to stay close to the team and attend training sessions and games. After returning to Dresden, the team has a week to prepare for the first home game of the new year, which will take place on January 19th against FC Viktoria Köln at 1:30 p.m. in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium.
